This little book is the culmination of my experience as Mother -- if you lay my 5 sons end to end, that's 90 years' worth, even if much of it is the Clarity of Hindsight... It's a bedtime story for those who are nervous about going off to sleep. You get to color all the pictures yourself, and there's instructions in the back for making the lead character from a pair of socks. If you prefer, "The Felting Needle: Further Fantasies" tells how to make him from wool. We are delighted to find that (among others) preadolescent girls are captivated by this book. |
